A Library TeachMeet wiki has been launched as a place to advertise forthcoming events, gather together resources from those events and share tips on running TeachMeets.
Links and materials for many recent TeachMeets have already been added to the wiki, including information literacy-related content.
Details of forthcoming TeachMeets at Sheffield Hallam University on Monday, 3rd March 2014 and Staffordshire University on Tuesday, 18th March 2014 are also available on the site. A few places are still available for both events.
If you are organising a TeachMeet and want to add resources or tips to the resource, then you just need to make a request to join and will be welcome to contribute.
A new sub-group of the CILIP Information Literacy Group called CoPILOT (Community of Practice for Information Literacy Online Teaching) has been formed. The sub-group’s aim is to support and encourage the development and sharing of information literacy teaching materials as open educational resources, primarily within the UK. The Group’s initial activities will be to establish an online space for the Community of Practice and to organise a training event on Creative Commons for those who deliver IL teaching.
If you’d like to keep up with the work of the group and perhaps join in, they have set up a:
