Plagiarism Advce.org and Nlearning are planning a plagiarism event for schools in the Northern area in November (date and venue to be confirmed once they know how many numbers to expect). They anticipate that the cost of such a full day event would be £50.00 (to include all materials, refreshments and lunch).
The event will enable schools to share and disseminate best practice with regard to academic writing and research skills and also allow networking in relation to academic honesty. The following areas with best practice examples will be covered:
• How and why students plagiarise
• Plagiarism policy and procedures
• Designing plagiarism out of coursework
• Identifying plagiarism
• Using Turnitin with students
